MilSpouses For Airmen - Instilling a Spirit of Service

Well I have been MIA haven't I?  I didn't start out meaning to do so, but between sickness and a visit from the In-laws, what's a girl to do?!  In celebration of my return (LOL, I know you missed me) I wanted to take a second and introduce a new project I'm embarking on with some fellow Air Force Millies.  The truth of it I was asked to come on board with some amazing ladies who had a wonderful vision for the local military community, specifically those in need.  Let me introduce you to MilSpouses For Airmen.

MilSpouses for Airmen is a private group run by military families that seeks to support active duty, reserve, retired, veteran, and military-connected service members in the armed services through morale activities, freely donating their time, energy and funds to enrich this community.
MFA began in 2013 by three Air Force families, each representing the different lifestyles common in today's military community.

With events like birthday celebrations, departure parties, homecomings, baby showers, marriage announcements, graduation ceremonies, promotions, group trips, and other milestone events, MFA will continue to fundraise and expand efforts to fund program support for years to come...

We are committed to providing assistance and support, through camaraderie.  And while all of us are the spouse of an Airmen, the support is not limited to those that have crossed into the blue.  So many bases now are joint, with branches working side by side.  This makes the ideal of camaraderie even more important.  It doesn't matter what color you wear, whether you are single or married, have children or not.  We are all in this together.

If you own a business, or sell a product, and/or just want to support those in need, in the military community in the DC area, I urge you to visit our website and learn about our upcoming events and how to donate.   We are currently looking for support for a New Year's Eve event designed to provide a safe environment for local service members to have fun and bond.

Have a Blessed Weekend!

  1. Thank you Rhea! Just want you to know I love you like the sister I've always wanted and you are truly an integral part of MilSpouses For Airmen. Without you I would be lost in a dark hole alone. Thank you for your love, compassion, support and integrity. You are truly a gift from god and I thank him for you daily.
