Ohh Baby Baby sponsor spotlight: 4ward Thinking Cloth Diapers

Well, this is my last sponsor spotlight for the Upcoming Ohh Baby Baby event starting Tomorrow! Its almost here and I'm really excited about this event. I have two great items from two really awesome WAHMs.

For this sponsor spotlight I'm showcasing the the amazing skills of Cheryl at 4ward Thinking Cloth Diapers. I myself only recently became a cloth diapering mama and I am loving it. I only wish I had clothed my older two, especially my daughter, because seriously the girlie patterns are just ridiculously cute! It really has become a little love affair and I'm starting to become concerned about the whole saving money aspect (sarcastically of course) because I just wanna buy buy buy all these adorable diapers. But anyway I digress.....I stumbled about 4ward Thinking as a referral from another CDing mama on a Diaper group on FB.  I initially went looking because I was interested in trying a fitted type dipe because I hadn't ever before.  I came across Cheryl, started talking to her and she agreed to become a Cammo Style Love sponsor!  Yippeee!!  As I started checking out her stuff I couldn't believe how much more there was than just Diapers!  This lady seriously makes everything you could ever imagine!  There's the diapers of course - covers, fitteds, pockets and the rest; there's stuff for the mama - bamboo nursing pads and mama cloth; teething toys, cloth wipes, diaper holders and the list goes on and on.  She also does customs...and I don't know anything cuter than a custom diaper from her with ruffles on the butt!

There's an amazing story about 4ward Thinking and the reason why we have such a talented lady supplying us with some amazing Green and Cloth items.  Cheryl is the mama to three boys and in 2009 #3 of those little boys was born.  His name is Rowan and he is pretty much a superhero as far as I'm concerned, and so is Cheryl.  Rowan was born with Osteogenious Imperfecta, or brittle bone disease, so this awesome mama quiet her job in the finance world to stay home with her little boy and care for him.  I encourage you to read more about Cheryl's inspiring store here, although I think I need to talk her into writing a book.  Forward Thinking started out as an outlet and now has become so huge!  Cheryl's diapers are even carried in three retail stores, including Cutie Poops and Bottoms.  While raising three boys, one with medical issues, and being quite the busy lady, Cheryl processes 125-150 diapers a month, keeps a nice stock and runs a monthly co-op!  You can check out Chery'ls diaper chatter page (B/S/T) here

Here's some pics for you to drool over!

Now onto the review!  I was so excited to review and give a test run to a brand new dipe!!!  And what's even cooler is that I get to announce the super secret surprise for The Great Cloth Diaper Change 2012!!!  Twenty-five of Cheryl's customers will be receiving this diaper! Yup, that's right, Cheryl is making this diaper as a gift for some of her customers in honor of the event!  Now, if you haven't signed up for this even you should.  This will be my first year participating and I'm so excited.  You can learn more by visiting their website.

Let me give you the specs on this diaper.  This is a workhorse diaper.  It is a bamboo fitted (requires a cover), with the inner and outer - Alone- totally 4 layers of bamboo flannel.  There is a dual soaker with 6 layers of bamboo flannel and 8 layers of bamboo fleece.  It is a snap closure with a fold over rise for the newbies.  At first when I was looking at it I thought, gosh I don't know about this rise, how long will this diaper really last for us.  Then I did some comparison and I could easily see this diaper lasting quite awhile as your little one grows.  It takes a lot of prep, and I had never worked with Bamboo before, so that's something to consider, but once you do it I think its worth it for sure.  And it only gets better as you wash it.  I received the diaper and two soakers.  They snap in and on top of each other so the the amount of bamboo is customizable.

I decided to jump right in and do an overnight because my little guy just started sleeping about 5 hours at a time.  At the time I didn't have a wool cover (which should be arriving any day now - yay!), so i just put one of my other covers over it.  It was amazing!  Fit under the cover of my choice no problem, no leaks and boy was that suckor heavy when I took it off!  I have a heavy wetter on my hands and this did the job just as well as, if not way better than any of my other go to night time pockets.  Next I tried it during his long nap, this time with only one of the soakers.  Again, no problem and this time it barely penetrated the very outside layer of the diaper.  I also find that it washes well and the drying isn't really as bad as I imagined it would be.  I air dry it after my wash and use it the next day.  If I washed it in the morning I could probably use it that night, and I live in a pretty humid area.  In short, I love this diaper.  It was a great introduction to bamboo and fitteds for me, and I highly recommend anyone looking for a workhorse type dipaer because this will certainly live up to that name.

 Side by side comparison:

This is a Gro-Via AI2 open on the largest rise setting
my son is 5 months and is on the second snap setting for the Gro-Via and
fits in the bamboo one without the fold down rise and it could definitely grow with him still.

Come back for the Ohh Baby Baby event and snag yourself an On-the Go-Diaper Pouch!
Check out this adorable pattern!  Seriously cute!

Jamberry Review and giveaway : Thanks to my fans!

First I just want to say a big thank you to all my new fans! I'm so excited you are hanging out at Cammo Style Love. I've decided to take a pause in the Baby/Maternity giveaways to pop in and introduce you to an amazing new product I just discovered. I was asked to do a review and giveaway for perhaps the coolest girlie product I've come across in awhile, and now you get the chance to get some for yourself.

Here's some cool facts about Jamberry Nails. Anyone can apply them, easy to remove and last up to six weeks when you put them on your toes and 2 weeks on your fingers (or longer). I don't know if you noticed but talk about easy and worry free, and seriously, as a mom those are all things that I want to see in my beauty type products. I don't have a ton of time for me. I try to make some time after the kids go to bed, but even then its not a lot. Finding the time to get a manicure and pedicure is pretty much on the bottom of the list. Now I can get the look of a manicure that is way more customizable, way more fun and lasts way longer. For the price of plain ole manicure you can get cool designs for your toes and fingers for weeks, TWICE! And if you're looking for a little business to go into for yourself and want to sell something unique and different that every third person you know isn't selling, then for only $99 you too can become a Jamberry consultant! I worked with a wonderful girl, Chanin, and the customer service she provided for excellent, and I have no fears that she couldn't help you with anything you might need. Now, lets see some visuals here.

All you need is a simple manicure set  and you're good to go

I received one sheet of this adorable heart pattern!

The finished product!  Super cute and I love it!!!

Here are some more awesome patterns from Jamberry Nails!

In short I love these things. I love that they are so many colors and patterns to choose from - from wacky to clean and simple. I love that they are affordable. I love that they last a long time and I don't have to think about them for weeks. I love that they are unique.

The only con I can come up with really isn't even a con, but I will say that it isn't wham, bam and done. It takes some time to apply them, especially the first time, and especially when you when you want it done right. But have no fear there's an awesome video and after watching it I applied them no prob. These get the Cammo Style Love approval 100%.

Now that you've seen mine and are totally jealous, have no fear Cammo Style Love is giving away a sheet of nail shields in the winner's choice of color of pattern.

Leading Lady Nursing Bra Review and Giveaway!

Happy Friday everyone!!!  This is going to be one heck of a couple weeks here on Cammo Style Love!  Lots of great mom and baby giveaways coming up.  So to kick things off and I have a review and giveaway featuring a great company called Leading Lady.  They make bras of all kinds, but in particular, Full Figure Nursing Bras.  I know many of you mommy's out there have experienced your ladies increasing in size with pregnancy and breast feeding.  But if any of you are like me, and you already started out with some and then you get more, well you get the idea.  It is soooooo hard for me to find nursing bras, especially some with support or underwire that are cute.  I know it doesn't seem like asking for much, but when I'm looking for them I feel like I might as well be asking for a spotted Zebra.  Sleep bras are no problem, but I usually have to get those online or fork over a ton for them.  So when I was contacted by Leading Lady I was super excited to try them out.  Here's a little bit about them.

Leading Lady is a premiere intimate apparel company dedicated to creating comfortably functional, remarkably affordable, stylish and easy-to-wear bras, camis and sleepwear. A family owned and operated business, Leading Lady has been expertly tailoring nursing and full figure bras for top brands and retailers across North America for more than 70 years. For the first time, Leading Lady’s comprehensive line of nursing and full figure intimates – including sexy stretch lace wire-free and underwire bras, supportive and seamless sport and yoga bras, and cozy sleep and leisure bras – can be purchased directly on
Leading Lady is proud to celebrate “Leading Ladies” everywhere through its products, programs and philanthropic activities. Leading Lady is dedicated to arming new moms with the support – physically, intellectually and emotionally – they need to nurture their babies through breastfeeding and committed to supporting a variety of organizations and issues relevant to women across the country. Follow Leading Lady on Facebook and Twitter.

I had no idea that A, they'd been around as long as they had and B, that you can find their bras also in store!  Amazing!!  I suggest checking out there About Us page and learning some cool things about the company!  For the Review I was able to get Leading Lady Baby Sees It Cotton Bra.  This Bra is a wire-free option but I was pretty impressed with the support of this.  This ain't your mama's wire free, sports bra type bra.  This bra's main feature is a printed sling.  The sling is the portion of the bra that is showing when you pull town the cup to nurse.  It has black and white and red color on it in an adorable print.  The concept is that is is visually stimulating for the baby.  My little one is a bit crazy when he eats, and while I haven't noticed him looking at it, or it being used as distraction, the concept is wonderful and I could see all the way this thing working.

This bra features a hook design to pull down the cup, similar to the hooks that you hook the back of the bra with.  Honestly, its not my favorite way of hooking a nursing bra, but it works.  It does take a few times to get the hang of it one-handed, and when you take the bra off and put it on the hooks tend to come off.  That being said, its still a great bra, and the fact that you can actually get some support that I would be afraid to wear it in public outweighs any hook issue.  Its comfortable, the straps don't dig in, it doesn't ride up and the sizing was amazing.  I was able to do it on the computer and I did it right and had no issues.  They also have people that would be more than willing to give you some guidance if you need it.  Their customer service is impeccable.  In short, I totally recommend this bra and this company, especially for us full-figured gals.

Ohh Baby Baby Giveaway Event Sposor Spotlight!!

I'm so excited about this upcoming event everyone!  I love me a good giveaway and this one is sure to be full of them.  I'm taking this opportunity to remind everyone about the event, taking place April 1-15.  The ever lovely Shopping Duck is hosting this event and there are 50+ blogs participating!  I have some wonderful giveaways for this event, and I'm excited to be showcasing some WAHMs this time around.   As a SAHM myself, who likes to be a little crafty, I love meeting and finding other cool SAHMs.  These ladies are way more talented then I could ever hope to be, and I'm lucky to have them as sponsors of my humble little blog.

Our first Sponsor Spotlight and sneak peek into this event is Daphne at AdoraBelle Boutique.  You can find her cute little button to the right here.  She makes these amazing Nursing/Teething necklaces and some pretty darn cute tutus.  She is the mother of three, homeschooling mama, some might call her crunch, but I call her pretty awesome!  How she finds the time to do all she does with three littles is amazing.  She has a wonderful blog called Naturally at Home,  and is also getting a Facebook page off the ground as well, that you guys should check out as well.

I've discovered so many things with this pregnancy and baby that I didn't know about or have with the first or second.  Nursing and Teething necklaces are one of those things.  Daphne was gracious enough to see me one of her necklaces that she makes and I love it!!  I've been wearing everyday.  I love it because its cute, and even after breastfeeding is over (*tear*) I'll probably still wear it.  It is definitely more of a casual necklace, if I had to put it in a category, but with one of the many colors she has, I'm sure you can find something to wear with every outfit!  These necklaces are great because your little one is not pulling this cord and breaking it.  It comes on an adjustable cotton cord that is knotted.  You simply slide the cord and you can adjust the length.  I like my necklaces long and I wouldn't mind getting an inch or two longer on this, but at its longest it lays at 15inches, which is perfect for my little guy to reach up and tug on, which he totally does all the time.  He tugs on it when he's in my arms or in his carrier, and sometimes I just let him hold it when he's hanging out in my lap.  The cool, hard stone is great for him right now, with some teeth sure to make an appearance soon.  The stone measures about 1 1/2 inches across and its the perfect size for little hands and mouths.

As you can see I....I mean, "WE" love it!!!  And for this event one lucky winner will be getting an AdoraBelle Necklace of their very own!!!
